The King’s Speech Muscles Out Bigger Boys at the 2011 Oscars

A good night at the Oscars for The King’s Speech.

Did you see it?

Amazing movie.

Geoffrey Rush, Colin Firth, Helena Bonham Carter.

It that isn’t true royalty, nothing is.  It is such a pleasure to see such quality rewarded.

Now, I have to say, movies like The Social Network, Inception, and True Grit were amazing, but there was a subtle quality to The King’s Speech that really screamed, “I’m the one!”  And, when good happens to greatness, we all win somehow.

I root for underdogs and unlikely candidates.  I think there’s something brave in taking a chance.  And, The King’s Speech really shows us, again, that you don’t have to be a giant to be a giant killer.

Go see it.

If you already saw it, see it again.  See it new.

See you at the movies.
